At first glance this small device looks like a small USB drive or better yet a LAN-to-USB adapter. Unveiled by Asus at CES 2013 earlier this month, this USB powered device is more than meets the eye. Dubbed as the Asus WL-330NUL the said device has the capability to function as a pocket router, wireless adapter or share existing Internet connection when configured as wireless access point device. For sharing wireless hotspots, this is done via the integrated Ethernet port on the device.
The Asus WL-330NUL is dubbed as World’s smallest router.
The Asus WL-330NUL pocket router supports 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz) Wi-Fi connectivity and also integrated various security protocols for a better online experience. Measuring at 65 x 20 x 15 mm and weighing 25g, the Asus WL-330NUL is lightweight and very small compared to other routers out in the market that can be easily misplaced or lost. But nonetheless, this could benefit the geeks out there who constantly travel from one place to another.

Currently the Asus pocket router can be pre-ordered at Expansys website with a price not yet revealed. For the release date, Expansys indicated that the said device will be available come February 14, 2013.
