Zuckerberg’s Facebook team seems to be in the right direction in overhauling their Android version of Facebook Messenger. With the new Facebook Messenger app, Android users can now send and receive SMS messages with ease using your existing mobile data plan. To send multiple SMS at once, the new Facebook Messenger app now allows you to create groups for this purpose.
In addition to SMS feature, you can now quickly see who’s available online to chat with by just swiping left on the screen. Also you can add a shortcut to your Facebook friends on the left side by tapping the ‘+’ at the bottom to add them in your list. This is used to provide quick access to your Facebook friends that you frequently chat with.
For some phones, Android users can even share their contacts via SMS using the Android app. The list of supported Android phones includes HTC EVO 3D, HTC One X, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus Hub, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Y.
Android users can now download the upgraded Facebook Messenger from the Google Play Store. For iOS users, don’t fret because Facebook could be releasing it soon.
