The word ‘Razer’ is always synonymous to high-end gadgets intended for PC games like gaming laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset etc. But in their latest collaboration with IObit, it seems that Razer is beginning to occupy a space in the realm of software development. By introducing their own version of Game Booster, Razer seems to finally bring out the missing piece of the puzzle that will complement Razer’s gaming products. Based on IObit’s Game Booster, Razer will be releasing their own version bringing some enhancements and additional features that will surely bring the best gaming experience to the PC gaming community.
The Razer Game Booster inherits some of the original software’s capability like the Game Mode. In this mode all you have to do is to launch the software tool, click the game that you want to play then click the ‘Launch’ button. The Razer Game Booster will automatically perform the necessary tweaking of your PC so that system resources like CPU and memory will be focusing on the game itself. This will significantly improve your gaming experience with a touch of the button.

On the other hand, click the ‘Configure’ button if you need to fine tune as to what programs are shut down during the tweaking process. Detailed information like memory and CPU usage was also presented so that you can quickly decide which programs should be terminated by the Game Booster prior to launching the game.
With the Calibrate Mode, you can choose three easy options to optimize your PC’s performance. By selecting ‘Tweak’ you will be presented with different system tweaks that you can enable and disable by ticking the checkbox. The ‘Defrag’ option can reduce the load time of your games by organizing the game files and folders for faster loading of games. Lastly, the ‘Drivers’ tool can help you analyze quickly which device drivers are old and needs updating. Take note that outdated device drivers can cause game freezes and hangs that can significantly contribute to poor gaming experience.

If you’re like me who loves to tinker with all the available settings, choose ‘Expert Mode’ in the ‘Tweaks’ window that gives you access to several processes and services for some real advance tweaking. You can also undo all the settings if you want by clicking the ‘Restore’ button if you think you messed something with the system. The ‘Operate’ button beside the ‘Restore’ button is used to share your personal tweaks to your friends by exporting and importing all the settings.
What I like best with the Razer Game Booster is that you can record your game experience and share it with your friends via the Share mode. This unique and Razer only feature allows you to capture videos and take screen shots of the game. By performing some key combinations, you can either capture videos or capture screen shots of the game to boast your skills or create tutorials for everyone to enjoy.

I hope that Razer will also release an Android or iOS version of the Game Booster so that we can record videos of the game or capture screen shots of the game using our Android tablets or iPad 2.
The Razer Game Booster is not yet available for download. But if you want to become one of the first beta testers, you can sign-up on the Razer web page by clicking the sign-up link. Alternatively, you can try IObit’s Game Booster to speed up your PC though there’s no Share mode in this software yet.
