Looking for a Google Nexus 7 alternative? Then you have come to the right place. Acer just recently announced a similar 7 inch Android tablet that already comes pre-installed with the latest operating system from Google that is in contrast with the Nexus 7 that runs on the older Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS. Powered by Android 4.1 a.k.a Jelly Bean OS, the Iconia Tab A110 runs on the same quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor found on the Nexus 7. With this announcement, Acer seems to have released a perfect tablet alternative to Google Nexus 7.
In addition to a more advanced Android 4.1 OS, Aces also includes some additional features that will make the Iconia Tab A110 to standout from other 7 inch tablet in the market. One of this feature is the inclusion of a MicroSD slot that will allow you to extend the storage capacity of the Iconia Tab. Additionally, a MicroHDMI port was also included giving you the capability to connect it to an HDTV for better and wider screen viewing experience. On top of it all, a MicroUSB was also included that you can use to connect it to other USB devices like, camera, keyboard, mouse or gamepad.

With the same 7 inch size that weighs less than 390 grams, you can easily hold it in one hand allowing you to browse the Internet with ease. To further enhance your entertainment experience, Acer includes a 2 megapixel front-facing camera video chat that also doubles as a security feature. With the included face detection technology, you can lock and unlock your Iconia Tab giving you a sense of personalized security.
Acer has not yet announced pricing and availability for the Iconia Tab A110 but according to a press release, it will be made available to the rest of the world bearing a price tag that is under the $200 price range.
