I’m not really a fan of Mac OS X desktop system but I love the way widgets and application launch bar was designed. Looking at my Windows 7 screen, you will notice that I mimic some of Mac OS X desktop widgets by installing several (free to download) applications. You might be asking – Why put all the troubles? The answer is simple. Those widgets increase your efficiency allowing you to perform complex tasks in less time. For example, the application launch bar simply provides you a very nice interface that allows you to launch your favorite tools of work directly from the desktop. You don’t have to go through a lot subfolder just to open up your spreadsheet or paint application. In this post I will show you how you can transform Windows 8 to Mac OS X via transformation pack and the pros and cons when using this.
The good thing about using transformation pack is that you don’t have to download several files from the Internet and install them individually. It’s very time consuming to go through each application and configure them separately across several windows. The only problem though is that since all the related apps were packaged into a single file, you will need a decent Internet connection to download the transformation pack. But once you’re done with the download process, everything will flow smoothly. Just follow the on-screen instructions and you will be surprised that the transformation process will took only several minutes of your time.
The Mac OS X transformation pack is available for download that is about 35 MB. This file contains all the apps that you will need use Mountain Lion theme on your Windows 8. It requires Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 but you don’t have to worry because this is already pre-installed with Windows 8. During the installation process you can choose to uncheck third party applications but it is recommended that you proceed with the default configuration. This will ensure that you will have the best Mac OS X experience in your Windows 8 PC.
Transformation pack is desirable for many who want to experience the best of both worlds. It also gives them the freedom to test the waters before they dive in completely to a completely new system. To uninstall, you can do so just like any other application on Windows.
