This could be the perfect smartphone that you’re looking for. Slim and superb design, great hardware specs, Android powered, durable, scratch proof and water resistant. A new breed from the Xperia family, Sony Xperia Go (a.k.a Xperia Advance) was built to be tough for people on the go. It’s 3.5 touchscreen Reality display (powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine) measuring @ 3.5 inch was made of scratch resistant mineral glass.

But unlike any smartphone, Sony Xperia Go has the highest level of water and dust resistance that you can immersed it in a container filled with water that’s between 15cm and 1m for 30 minutes. If your fingers are wet you can still swipe on the screen using its wet-finger tracking touchscreen feature.

Initially the Xperia Go will be available in Android 2.3 a.k.a Gingerbread but can be upgraded to Android 4.0 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich. Inside its durable body, it is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor coupled with an 8GB of internal storage. Though only half of it (4GB) was made available for you to utilize, you can opt to buy a microSD card if you want to increase your storage capacity up to 32GB.

According to Sony the battery could last up to five hours and 30 minutes of talk time when using HSPA and up to 460 hours when in idle mode. In entertainment mode, you can get 45 hours of pure music listening pleasure and six hours if you want to have a movie marathon on your smartphone.

Sony Xperia Go should be expected to hit the shelves between July up to September this year. In the Philippines this could be a desirable phone because we’re currently experiencing rainy season that was expected to last until November or December.
