Unveiled just recently at the CTIA Wireless, a new software technology dubbed as Loop Technology now allows you to gain full access on your smartphone remotely. You can think of this technology similar to accessing a PC using remote applications like Remote Desktop of Microsoft Windows. Basically what the software does is that it allows you to control your smartphone’s functionality on your tablet. For example, you can view and scroll all the contacts on your mobile phone’s phonebook using your tablet. Also you can make phone calls on your smartphone but remotely done on your tablet.
Loop Technology as they call it comes in the form of a firmware installed on tablets called Loop Tablets exclusively made by Noitavonne. The software works by providing ‘smartphone’ interface on the Loop Tablet giving you virtual access of your mobile phone. The interface upon interaction then transfers multitouch input from your tablet to your smartphone. So the next time you forgot your mobile phone, you can now use it anywhere via the Loop Tablet. However in the demo presented by CEO Lael Alexander the Loop Tablet established its connection with an HTC phone via 802.11 l where ‘l’ stands for ‘Loop’ in the Loop Technology.
Unfortunately this Loop Technology was only available exclusively on NoitMobile Android tablet a.k.a Loop Tablet. Meaning you have to buy this gadget before you can enjoy full remote system access on your smartphone. So for Android fans out there you can’t just download this piece of software and install it on your rooted device.
