I have been looking for game tips and simple cheats on playing this game but I’m out of luck. The only available were the usual advice (different for each class) that is so complicated to follow. If you will read and follow all those instructions you might lose the interest in playing the game. When I’m playing a game like Zenonia 4, all that I want is to enjoy the game and to explore the secrets on my own. I only grasp the basic of the game and discover the rest.
In this post I want to share with you my own experience that is apart from any other guide out there. I will also share with you some pointers that you can apply which ever class you prefer in playing the game. Be it the Slayer, Blader, Druid or Ranger you can use this information in battling with any types of monster in the game. And since the monster found in the game is the same monster found in the Den of Trials, you can also apply the same battle technique to achieve your desired level.
For newbies out there take note that this is not a beginner’s guide because all the basics were taught inside the game. Just don’t tap ‘Skip’ if you think you don’t understand something that is happening in the game. Also for each stage or map, ‘Tips’ and some sort of reminders were constantly provided for you to progress in the game. That is why I’m skipping it all here and just to share my own experience with you that is not found in any guide created for Zenonia 4.
If you haven’t played the game before, I will tell you in advance that the monsters that you are fighting with were group into different class. But generally you can categorize them into just two different groups – melee type and range type. Identifying to which class it belong can give a higher chance of winning most of the battles. For each class you should use different fighting styles and movement to finish the fight using less of your time and resources.
For the melee type you have to place your hero (Regret or Reguret is the name) in such a way that his feet is at the same level with your opponent’s head. This way you can hit your enemy before it can hit you. You will notice that before the monster attempt to hit Regret, it will move an extra step upward so that Regret will be within its range of attack. The time spent by the monster in taking that extra step will give you enough time finish it off. If you mastered this technique enough you will win most of the battles without depleting your HP and Mana.
For the range class of monsters, you can use the same technique but you have to avoid in attacking it directly face-to-face. If this type of monsters hurls a single attack at you in a straight direction, you can use the same technique used for melee type monsters. Otherwise you have to move and attack differently. Take note that there are monsters that hurls multiple attacks in different directions in a single blow. These types of monsters have a higher chance of hitting you if you will not move in a different direction. So the best way to win is to move around first. If you can move and hit your opponent behind real quick, do this and you will surely defeat those range type monsters.
If you are faced with multiple opponents you cannot used the techniques that we have previously discussed. What you can do is to move around them and let these monsters chase you. But make sure that they will end up in a single bunch that is within your range of attack. You can now use some of your active skills in hitting multiple opponents in a set of attacks. Occasionally you might get hit by one of these monsters but this is minimal if you’re focusing your build more on Evasion. As I have said you can also use this technique in fighting monsters found in the Den of Trials.
With the tips I shared with you, you can now defeat monster after monster without losing much of your HP and Mana. By the way do not forget that Regret was auto-healed periodically re-claiming back some portion of its HP and Mana used during battle. So it’s important that you focus on Evasion and Critical Damage making Regret invincible as much as possible.
Also do not forget to bring a Teleport scroll with you so that when you encounter a game bug, you can easily transport back to your designated Home location. Without this item you might restart the game and losing all your hard work in return. See the image below to see what I’m trying to tell you. After moving the stones, I accidentally make a dash making Regret to get trapped in that place. Without a teleport scroll I may have to restart the game from the beginning losing everything.
And here’s one last piece of advice, save your game before closing this app. If you just pinch on your iPad screen to close the game, you might lose everything from your last save point. I experienced it a lot of times crashing each time I opened the app when I previously forgot to save the game. To get away with this bug, you have to go back to the Main Menu after saving each game.
If you have some other unique tips to share with us, just post them as comments below so that other Zenonia 4 players will know. Good luck and Happy gaming!
