Are you up for the Temple Run challenge with your friends but you found out that this app is not yet available on your Android phone? Previously Temple Run is only available on iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad. Since its debut on August last year the app already hits 40+ million downloads. For the uninformed, the game is an endless race that starts by stealing an idol from an ancient temple. In order to escape the evil monkeys running towards you, you must control your chosen character (Guy Dangerous, etc.) by running down ancient temple walls and sheer cliffs. In the process you have to tilt your device either left or right to collect coins while avoiding obstacles.
This good news came out from its developer Imangi Studios announcing that the app will be a FREE for download on the Android Market. “We are excited to finally share the Android release date with our fans who have been so enthusiastic and supportive of Temple Run. By expanding to more mobile devices, we hope to provide the same addictive and fast-paced gameplay to an entirely new group of players.” – Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi Studios.
Starting March 27, 2012 Android users will now finally experience the excitement that iOS users are currently enjoying. So mark your calendars on your mobile phone and be sure to get the app while its free. Have a nice day!
UPDATE: It’s now available and as we have mentioned before you can now download it for FREE. But there’s something odd with Google Play if you will try to search “Temple Run” within the site. It will return a list in which “Temple Run Fun App” (by I Love Games) will be listed on top instead of the app from the Imangi Studios which is very misleading. So don’t be fooled. Install the real app by visiting this link. Have a nice day!
