Don’t look at me like that. Yes, I’m giving this post an exception to support this young artist @MyJaps, definitely deserves the best. This is my blog right? So just bear with me on this one. Okay? Did you know the latest happenings in the 4th Annual Shorty Awards? As of this moment there are 3 Filipino celebrity positioned at the top 6 spot were 1,226 nominees are competing. Paolo Feliciano who is known for his funny videos was placed at first spot. The real life couple Jamvhille Sebastian and Paolinne Michelle Liggayu or collectively known as JAMICH got the second place. The couple became popular for their romantic and inspiring YouTube videos that touch the hearts of many.
Last but not the least, Julie Anne San Jose a.k.a MyJaps positioned at 4th place that became popularly known for her live and awesome singing performances captured in YouTube videos. She can be seen singing with her wonderful voice and with little effort to the tune of Super Bass, Price Tag, Rolling in the Deep, Back to December and I Need You.
Paolo Feliciano, JAMICH and @MyJaps were competing to become the next YouTube Star – a new category on Shorties wherein producers of short content on social media like Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, YouTube and Foursquare were recognized. Only top 6 nominees will be chosen as finalist and the nominee with the most nominations will received the Shorty Vox Populi distinction. Also the media content produced by each of the finalist in a particular category will be reviewed and the winner will received the Shorty Award. The Shorty Award winner will be honored at the gala awards ceremony that will be held in New York City.
Among the three nominees I am nominating for Julie Anne San Jose because she deserves a break like this and I think that she can benefit the most if she wins the Shorty Award. Julie Anne a.k.a @MyJaps is relatively new in her singing and acting career. But when it comes to singing I can say that she is currently at par with Charice Pempengco. My favorite YouTube video of Julie Anne is ‘Super Bass’ by Nicki Minaj in which total views already reach 12,822,053 views!
