Facebook users were being pampered by the many exciting new features coming from popular cloud services. Just recently Skype has unveiled their latest beta version for both Mac and Windows that allows you to make a direct video call to your Facebook friends without logging in to your Facebook account. And there’s more, with the introduction of Send Money, Facebook users can now send money easily without a hassle.
Send Money is a Facebook app that enables you to make peer-to-peer payments via Facebook and PayPal. According to a PayPal representative since this is a peer-to-peer transaction, you do not have to pay any transaction fee.
“The PayPal and Facebook infrastructure have now merged. This is another way to personalize the act of giving money.” – PayPal’s Anuj Nayar
“Sending money, person to person, is free. If it’s funded by a PayPal balance or linked to a bank account, it’s free.” – PayPal Senior Product Marketing Manager JB Coutinho
Besides sending money to congratulate or greet your friend on his/her birthday, you can also send e-cards (with money) in which you can put your personalized message. You can also opt to just send money if you want to, of course.
WARNING: If you encountered a Facebook app that looks suspicious and is forcing you to switch from https to http, move away from this app. They might rob your Facebook account and also steal your PayPal money from you. Secured http or simply https is more secure way of logging in on a website like PayPal or Facebook.
