Although this update is a little bit late, I’m sure this is a so so good news for you. With this new development by HP, you do not have to worry about your dongle being get lost. It will even keep you from worrying if you do not have an extra USB port for your new wireless mouse. More importantly, if you’re a previous fan of USB ‘tangled’ mouse you will enjoy a much better experience if you’ll get a hands on this new gadget.

Will it work without a receiver connected to your laptop? The answer is ‘YES’. The solution that HP has introduced is to use the existing WiFi connectivity on your laptop. Since WiFi function is becoming a norm in manufacturing many mobile devices like laptop, you can be sure that this new mouse will be a ‘welcomed’ guest on your mobile device. Though HP didn’t mention that this will work on tablets and other similar devices, I think that soon it will be an option. But wait, if WiFi will be used to connect this WiFi mouse how about your Internet connection? Will it work alongside with the mouse? The answer is a ‘YES’ also. HP guarantees that your mouse will not interfere with other signals on the same WiFi connection.
HP added that the battery in the mouse could last up to 9 months and they claimed that this is ‘twice’ longer compared to a Bluetooth mice. Though the device is not yet available on retailer stores, you can expect it to arrive on June.
